Return & Refund Policy
Welcome to Māori Geek TCG & Collectables. We want you to love your trading cards, retro games, and collectables. As a proud New Zealand family-owned business, our policy is designed to align strictly with your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA).
1. Change of Mind Returns
Please choose your products carefully. Under New Zealand consumer law, we are not legally required to provide a refund or exchange if you simply change your mind, buy the wrong item by mistake, or if market prices change after purchase.
However, because we value our whānau, we may offer a Store Credit or Exchange for change-of-mind returns under the following strict conditions:
- You must contact us within 14 days of receiving your order.
- The item must be completely unopened, factory-sealed, unused, and in its original packaging (including intact shrink-wrap on booster boxes or plastic seals on blisters).
- You must provide a valid receipt or Shopify proof of purchase.
- Exclusions: Due to the volatile nature of the trading card market, individual single cards (singles) and opened/tampered booster packs or boxes cannot be returned for change of mind.
- Note: Return shipping costs for change-of-mind requests are the responsibility of the customer.
2. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items (CGA Guarantees)
If a product you receive is faulty, damaged in transit, or does not match the description on our website, we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act to make it right.
- Minor Issues: If an item has a minor defect (e.g., minor packaging cosmetic damage that does not affect gameplay or card contents), we reserve the right to offer a repair, a partial refund, or a replacement at our discretion.

Major Issues: If an item has a major fault (e.g., heavily damaged or crushed cards inside a sealed box, wrong items sent, or item totally unfit for purpose), you are entitled to your choice of:
- A full cash refund back to your original payment method.
- A replacement item (subject to stock availability).
Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery. If there is an issue, contact us at geek Maori tcg with your order number and clear photos of the issue so we can resolve it promptly.
3. Return Shipping Costs
- If you are returning an item due to our error, a manufacturing fault, or shipping damage, Māori Geek TCG & Collectables will cover all return courier costs or provide a pre-paid shipping label.
- If a returned item is inspected and found not to be faulty, or the damage was caused by customer misuse after opening, the customer may be liable for inspection and return shipping fees.
4. How to Start a Return
- Email us at geekmaori@gmail.com with your order number and the reason for the return.
- Wait for our team to review your request and send you the return instructions.
- Securely pack the item to prevent damage during transit. Items returned to us without prior authorization will not be processed
